It seems like everyone else has a blog and in an age where there’s no promotion like self-promotion, so I thought why not me?
I’ve designed this website to display my journalistic work as well as being a point of contact should you wish to contact me for job opportunities, interviews, or anything else that takes your fancy.
My writing credits include the Daily Echo, MailOnline, Film Stories Magazine, Cinema Retro, and many more – and you can also see me in the flesh on YouTube – where I’ve published exclusive interviews with one or two famous faces.
Here you’ll find my passion project and self-made documentary celebrating the 40th anniversary of the best mini-series ever made (in my opinion), North and South – North and South at 40: The Film – which took me more than a year to complete. I was fortunate enough to speak exclusively to 10 members of the show’s cast and crew to reminisce about the making of the US Civil War epic, which was the most expensive mini-series ever made at the time of its initial release in 1985. The award-winning series cost an eye-watering $25million to make, which nowadays is what Leonardo DiCaprio reportedly earns for each film he stars in. Interviewees include Academy Award winning composer Bill Conti, Emmy winning producer Robert Papazian, BAFTA nominated editor turned director Kevin Connor, and Golden Globe nominated actor Philip Casnoff. Key actors in the series, including James Read, Terri Garber, and Parker Stevenson – who have all achieved global recognition in their own right – also feature. I released the one-hour documentary on YouTube in November 2025, coinciding with the 40th anniversary of when the show’s first episode aired, and the film has since gained thousands of views. Considering it was self-made, an original idea about a mini-series that means an awful lot to me personally, and something I did independently, it’s probably the work I’m most proud of and I hope if you’ve read this far it’s a film you will check out. You can view the film under the ‘Video and Audio Documentaries’ tab, or by clicking on the hyperlink in the third line of this overly long paragraph.
You can also see a selection of my written work, which includes news stories, sports stories, theatre and music reviews, as well as travel and film features by navigating your way through the tabs at the top of the site. There’s also an informal blog that I’ll be updating weekly. Enjoy and thanks for visiting!
